The Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test (HOBET) is designed primarily as a diagnostic instrument to assist Health Occupation schools evaluate the academic and social skills of new applicants to their programs. Based upon the profile generated by this test, a program can more objectively screen applicants for admission. The HOBET also provides an academic/social profile of a class already admitted. In both profiles, the educational program will be provided with valuable information helpful in meeting individual student needs. Over thirty diagnostic scores are generated for each examinee and the academic program is provided with a group profile, consisting of computer generated means for the following seven subtest areas:
Composite Score is the mean of an individuals mathematics and reading comprehension scores. It provides a comparison index for the established test mean of beginning freshmen college students. Registration: To register to take a HOBET test, contact the Testing Center via email at testingcenter@fortlewis.edu or by phone at (970) 382-6938. HOBET tests can be scheduled Monday through Friday, anytime during the year. The total fee for taking the HOBET at FLC is $42.50. The test takes three hours and can be scheduled by individual appointment. Students need to bring two forms of unexpired IDone must have a current photograph. (Drivers license, school ID, passport, work ID, credit card with photo ID are acceptable.) Policies:
