PLACE Exam

Who should test? Candidates for initial educator licenses (provisional licenses) in Colorado are required to take and pass one or more content-area tests. This includes candidates for teaching, special services, principal, and administrator licenses.
There is no limit to the number of times you may retake any PLACE test. You should, however, identify your PLACE requirements as early as possible and carefully plan your schedule for taking the test(s) to allow time for retaking them, if needed.

Complete PLACE test booklets are available in the display racks outside of the Testing Center, Noble 287.

On the day of the test: Students should report to the middle floor of Education Business Hall (EBH) on the day of the test. For the morning session, students should report at 7:30am. For the afternoon session, students should report at 1pm. Students will need to present their admission ticket and a current photo ID.
