Challenge into MATH 121 or 221

If students want to challenge their MATH 110 or MATH 121 placement, they should take the Pre-Calculus Diagnostic Test. Tests are scheduled by individual appointment in the Testing Center.

Cost:

There is a $20 administration/proctoring charge for this test.

Time-Limit:

Students have 90 minutes to answer 60 questions.

Results:

If students successfully pass the test, results and any change in placement will be emailed to the students by Carl Lienert.

Can I re-take the exam?

You can only take the Math Challenge exam once per semester. For example, if you tested during the winter term, you would need to wait until the summer term to try for a higher placement by re-taking the mathematics exam. You will be charged $20 each time you take the test.
